In addition, Hornsby had a regular role on the NBC comedy-crime series Good Girls from 2018 to 2020. He also lends his voice to the character Fanboy in the Nickelodeon animated TV series Fanboy & Chum Chum

On the FX comedy series, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Danny Hornsby plays the role of defrocked priest Matthew Rickety Cricket Mara, while also serving as an executive producer and writer.
He has appeared in various other TV shows and movies, such as The Joe Schmo Show, Six Feet Under, Pearl Harbor, Minority Report, and Flags of Our Fathers. Hornsby has also worked on creating and performing in the podcast Yoda and Me, as well as developing and starring in the CBS sitcom How to Be a Gentleman, which was cancelled after one season.
In addition, he co-wrote and designed characters for FX's cartoon Unsupervised, and created the NBC pilot for Mission Control, produced by Gary Sanchez Productions.
More recently, Hornsby portrayed executive producer David Brittlesbee in the comedy web television series Mythic Quest and also served as a writer and executive producer for the show, which premiered on Apple TV+ on February 7, 2020.
