Lil Skies has achieved notable success on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with several of his tracks. His highest charting songs include I at number 39, Nowadays at number 55, and Red Roses at number 69. In 2018, he released his first major label mixtape, titled Life of a Dark Rose, which reached number 10 on the Billboard 200 chart. This mixtape received Platinum certification from the RIAA in 2020. His debut studio album, Shelby, was released in 2019, followed by his second studio album, Unbothered, in 2021.
