Nancy Giles, an American actress and commentator, is renowned for her appearances on CBS News Sunday Morning and her lead role in the TV series China Beach. She completed her studies at Oberlin College and was a member of the Second City Touring Company.
During her acting career, Giles portrayed Pvt. Frankie Bunsen on China Beach from 1988 to 1991 and later played Connie Morris on Delta from 1992 to 1993.
She has also acted in several movies such as Off Beat, Big, Me and Him, Working Girl, Fear of a Black Hat, Angie, True Crime, The Devil's Child, Superheroes, and Irrational Man.
Her guest appearances include TV shows such as The Jury, L.A. Law, Law & Order, Spin City, Dream On, and The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Furthermore, she starred in the Broadway production of Mayor in 1985.

Career
In 1984, Giles was part of the Second City Touring Company, and she has since become a writer and contributor to CBS News Sunday Morning. Additionally, she co-hosted Fox After Breakfast and served as the announcer. Giles also appeared in various TV shows such as China Beach, Delta, The Jury, L.A. Law, Spin City, Law & Order, Dream On, and The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, and she acted in the Broadway musical Mayor in 1985.
Collaborating with her CBS colleague, Erin Moriarty, Giles produced two public-affairs radio series under the name Giles and Moriarty, which aired on WPHT in Philadelphia and Greenstone Media. Both shows were produced at the CBS Radio Network facilities.
Giles has given commencement speeches for Ramapo College's graduating class of 2007 and Grinnell College's graduating class of 2014. In 2017, she, along with her CBS News colleague Nancy Wyatt, launched The Giles Files, a popular podcast.
