Top 10 Things To Expect From Alchemy Of Souls Season 2

Is there someone who still hasn’t seen Alchemy of Souls? I don’t need to advertise the kdrama series as every fan and non-fan knows about the fantastic movie.
Alchemy of Souls, with its fictional settings in Daeho, showcases different types of characters called mages with mystical powers, other powerful families, and the Four Seasons.
We can never forget the love between Jang-Uk and Mu deok/Naksu or the unrequited love of Seo Yul and the marriage between Park Dang-gu and Jin Cho-Yeon.

10. JANG-UK REBIRTH

After Naksu(Jung So Min) was influenced by Jin Mu’s sorcery which made her lose her mind and go on a killing spree, she was chased by Songrim mages into a forest, where she stabbed Jang-Uk.
Naksu escaped, but Jang-Uk’s body was taken to a pyre to be burnt openly. The scene showed different mages present, including Park Jin, who was grieving; suddenly, the burning fire glowed, and Jang Uk came out of it.
Whoa! Although we were hopeful that he would not die, we were no less surprised about his awakening. The short preview showed us a different Jang-Uk who is more skillful and a master of spells. He was seen fighting a soul shifter with poise and confidence; this is very different from the insecure man we know. We are excited about seeing more of his abilities as the King’s Star.
9. MU DOEK/NAKSU RESCUED

We all know that there is only one ending for a soul shifter; no matter how powerful they are, they get petrified if they don’t feed on human energy.
This was what we thought when we saw Naksu in Mu doek’s body, running for her life after killing Jang-Uk and falling into the enchanted lake, but the season 2 preview shows that some mages swam deep into the lake to save her.
We don’t know, but from our speculations, it’s either Seo Yul that came with some mages to rescue her or the leader of Jinyowon who suspects that she’s her daughter. Either way, we might not see the end of Naksu as Jin Mu thought!
8. PARK DANG-GU DIFFERENT LOOK

Right from the start, we’ve not gotten over how funny and handsome our Park Dang-gu is. Who knew he carried a torch for Cho-Yeon, who was once betrothed to Jang-Uk? He did get what he wanted by marrying her, though. Almost every scene Dang-gu starred in was funny, except when he saw Naksu killing Cho-Yeon’s father.

This caused a change in him; he was also the heir to Songrim and would be the leader after Park Jin. So we know that we might not get to see the funny side of our Oppa anymore but the more assertive leader Park Dang-gu!
7. CHO YEON’S REVENGE

Jin Cho-Yeon, the daughter of the leader of Jinyowon and sister to Jin Bu yeon, was one of the Four Seasons, beautiful and elegant.
She never liked Mu deok from the start because she knew her to be relatively close to Jang Uk, and she even tried to blame Mu deok after destroying a precious jade which caused her to be trapped in a mirror. Even though Cho Yeon didn’t like Mu doek, they came to an understanding after the incident, but the fragile friendship might take a bit as Naksu killed Cho Yeon’s father when she was being manipulated.
Cho Yeon swore to her mother that she would get her revenge, and we no longer think that Cho Yeon will still be the cute wallflower but a mage driven by hate and revenge.
6. NAKSU GETTING HER BODY BACK

Naksu( Go Yoon Jung) owed her survival to Jin Bu yeon/Mu doek because if she had not stayed in the body of a priestess, she would have been dead.
Being Mu doek gave her a chance for a new life and helped her unravel the mysteries behind her father’s death. After she ran away to die in the lake, we saw some mages pulling her body out, and we remembered that Jin Mu burned her body in the presence of everyone. Still, we know the ending of the season 2 preview, where the real Naksu was dancing in a white gown.
How did she come back? Was it the ice stone? Did the healing mages of Songrim get Naksu’s body before and try to revive her? We will surely see how Naksu got her body back!
5. JIN BU YEON MAKING AN ENTRANCE

There must be a reason why Naksu was attracted or why she shifted souls with the blind Jin Bu yeon. It couldn’t have been a coincidence because the woman Naksu chose was right there.

When she also used the ice stone to regain her powers, we saw Jin Bu yeon communicating with her and telling her the consequences of wielding the ice stone.
We are yet to know the reason, but in season 2, we should see Jin Bu yeon’s involvement in the affairs of Daeho.
4. JANG UK vs. NAKSU OR JANG UK vs. MU DEOK

One of the climaxes of Season two is whether Jang uk will meet the real Naksu or we’ll see Jin Bu yeon/Mu doek again.
Though there are some speculations that Mu deok won’t be the female lead and will only be the supporting character, we are still not sure who Jang uk was in love with.
The assassin, who is his master? Or high priestess whose face he sees every day and longs to see. We all know that he thinks Naksu is dead, and he’s hell-bent on finding her!
3. THE ICE STONE’S ENDING

The ice stone has undoubtedly done more harm than good in Daeho because of the hands of whom it fell into. It could create soul ejectors used for soul shifting and revive a dead mage, which we saw when Mu deok died and was resurrected.
Someone should destroy the ice stone at the end because it was too powerful and caused a lot of chaos, so we mustn’t miss that in season 2.
2. THE BLOOD WORM IN SEO YUL’S BODY

When the fake Jin Bu yeon, So-i, who fell in love with Seo Yul after he helped her tried to save him, she left a blood worm in his body to regain strength.
We remember that the blood worm was gotten from Cho Yeon by her father via sorcery to make So-i deceive the leader of Jinyowon, Jin Mu’s half-sister.
Since sorcery causes harmful effects to a mage, we don’t know if Seo Yul, even after using the pills So-i gave him, might survive it or turn it into something else. We should see the end of that.
1. JIN MU’S RETRIBUTION

Of course, no avid follower of Alchemy of Souls can deny how eager they are to see Jin Mu suffer for all the pain he caused.
He somehow found a way to justify all his actions and work his way back into the Royal Family, but we know that revenge is a dish best served cold.
There’s no way he won’t fall from his high horse and get back tenfold of all he did. Jin Mu was the villain, and at the end of it all, the villain always dies.
If you still don’t know, Alchemy of Souls Season two will be released in December 10 with just ten episodes, so get ready to download and watch it.
You might think it won’t be as enjoyable as season one, but with all of these things to expect, we know that watching it might not be disappointing.
Let us know what else you wish to see in the season 2.
My Own Concern is South Korea deciding not to release the expected movie because they lost the world cup to Brazil. Lol. Anyway happy reading!!!
