Africa is the least happy region in the globe with a regional score of 4.5. As a result of its relatively high income levels, Mauritius continues to be the happiest nation in Africa. Zimbabwe, on the other hand, nevertheless has the highest degree of unhappiness in Africa despite its battles with poverty. Around 6.1 million individuals in 2021 were estimated to live below the international poverty line.
