Step By Step Guide On How To Make Guava Jam

Almost every house in many countries around the world has Guava trees. As this tree is found almost everywhere, but with little use, guess what we can make Guava Jam and perhaps commercialize it. Yes, you read and follow the steps below to get the work done. Ok now, let's dive in!

Step 1
To prepare this delicious jam recipe, wash the guavas thoroughly with water and chop them into small pieces. Then put a deep-bottomed pan on medium flame and add water to it. Bring water to a boil and then add the chopped guavas in it and boil them too.

When the guavas are boiled, drain the water and let them cool in a bowl. On cooling, mash these boiled guavas and strain through the jelly cloth.

Now, put a pan on medium flame again and add this strained guava pulp and juice along with sugar and 1/2 teaspoon citric acid. Bring this mixture to a boil and stir well. Let the mixture thicken for a while.

When the mixture is thick enough for a jam-like consistency, switch off the flame and let it cool down at room temperature.

Store this guava jam in sealed tight containers or bottles. If you see any scum on top of the jar or the bottle, remove it. Enjoy the delicious guava jam with bread or as a topping with your favourite dessert.
