Bart Conner is a famous retired American Olympic gymnast. He won two gold medals as part of the US men's gymnastics team in the 1984 Summer Olympics. Bart, along with his wife Nadia Com?neci, a Romanian Olympic gold medalist, owns and runs the Bart Conner Gymnastics Academy in Norman, Oklahoma. They are also active supporters of the Special Olympics.
He continued his education at the University of Oklahoma, training with coach Paul Ziert as a member of the gymnastics team. In 1984, he graduated from OU, earning the titles of All-American and the 1981 Nissen Award for being America's top gymnast.

Bart Conner was a successful gymnast. He became the U.S. Junior National Champion at 14 and the U.S. Gymnastics Federation All-Around Champion at 17.
In the 1976 Summer Olympics, he was the youngest team member. He also won a gold medal in the team all-around at the 1975 Pan American Games.
Although he qualified for the 1980 Summer Olympics, he couldn't compete due to the boycott.
In the 1984 Summer Olympics, he made a strong comeback, winning two gold medals in the team all-around and men's parallel bars.
He introduced a new move called the Conner spin during these games. He even appeared in the 1986 film Rad.
Conner is a highly accomplished gymnast, honoured with inductions into various Halls of Fame, including the USOC Olympic Hall of Fame (1991), the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame (1996), and the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame (1997). He also received the Congressional Gold Medal, along with 460 other athletes.
