David Adedeji Adeleke, professionally known as Davido, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer. He was born on November 21, 1992, in Atlanta, USA, but was raised in Lagos. Davido started his music career as a member of the group KB International and later dropped out of Oakwood University, where he was studying business administration, to focus on making beats and recording vocal references.

Davido rose to fame after the release of "Dami Duro," the second single from his debut studio album "Omo Baba Olowo" in 2012. The album produced six additional hit singles, including "Back When," "Ekuro," "Overseas," "All of You," "Gbon Gbon," and "Feel Alright." In the same year, Davido won the Next Rated award at The Headies.

Between 2013 and 2015, Davido released several hit singles such as "Gobe," "One of a Kind," "Skelewu," "Aye," "Tchelete (Goodlife)," "Naughty," "Owo Ni Koko," "The Sound," and "The Money." David Ifeanyi Adeleke Jr., the third child and eldest son of Davido, tragically passed away on October 31, 2022.

According to a report by a newspaper, the three-year-old drowned in the swimming pool located at his father's residence in Banana Island.

The police questioned members of Davido's household staff, with a total of eight domestic workers being invited to the police station for questioning.

One worker had initially reported the drowning accident to the police. After their investigation, six workers were released while two remained in detention.
