Devon started acting in grade five and graduated from the Etobicoke School of the Arts in Toronto. He has appeared in various television series such as Degrassi: The Next Generation, Flashpoint, and Rookie Blue, as well as the film Citizen Duane. His film credits include Godsend, Fugitive Pieces, and The Stone Angel. In the 2008 film Adoration, he portrayed Simon, a boy who is being raised by his uncle (played by Scott Speedman) after his parents' death. He also had roles in other projects like Ice Fortress, The Poet, Saw VI, and Assassin's Creed: Lineage as Ezio Auditore.
In addition to his film and television work, Bostick played Erica's deceased brother Leo in CBC Television's series Being Erica, and portrayed Rodrick Heffley in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid movies. He also appeared as Alan in three episodes of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
