At Le Mans, he finished third in the LMP2 class on debut in 2013 and helped lead the category for 14 hours in 2014.
He raced for Nissan in LMP1 in 2015 but the team withdrew after one race due to an uncompetitive car. Since 2016, Mardenborough has raced in Japan in Super GT, Super Formula and Japanese F3. In Super GT he won a race in GT300 in 2016 and moved up to GT500 in 2017. In Super Formula he took a pole position in 2017 which was his only season.
