Lauren Katherine Conrad, a renowned American television personality, fashion designer, and author, rose to prominence in September 2004 through her appearance in the reality TV series Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County.
The show depicted her and her friends' lives in their hometown of Laguna Beach, California.
Following her initial success, Conrad relocated to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the fashion industry. She starred in her own spin-off series called The Hills, featuring in five out of its six seasons from 2006 to 2009.
During this time, she also attended the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, and interned for Teen Vogue and Kelly Cutrone's public relations firm People's Revolution.
