For 12 years, he hosted Steve Wright in the Afternoon on BBC Radio 1 and for 23 years, he hosted the same show on BBC Radio 2, the most popular station in the UK, until his tenure ended on September 30, 2022.
Despite this, he continues to host his Sunday Love Songs weekend mid-morning show on Radio 2. Wright has also hosted various television shows on BBC, including Home Truths, The Steve Wright People Show, Auntie's TV Favourites, Top of the Pops, and “TOTP2.”
