Taye Diggs is an American actor known for Broadway musicals Rent and Hedwig, TV series Private Practice, Murder in the First, and All American, and films How Stella Got Her Groove Back, Brown Sugar, Chicago, Malibu's Most Wanted, The Best Man, and its sequel, The Best Man Holiday.
He attended Allendale Columbia School, then School of the Arts. Diggs earned a BFA in musical theatre from Syracuse University College of Visual and Performing Arts in 1993.
He performed at Lakes Region Summer Theatre in New Hampshire and New London Barn Playhouse in 1992. His Broadway debut was in Carousel's ensemble cast, the 1994 Tony Award-winning revival.
He danced in Sebastian's Caribbean Carnival at Tokyo Disneyland in 1995.
