At the 2020 Olympics, he won a gold medal in the men's synchronised 10-metre platform event, and he is also a double world champion in the FINA 10-metre platform event, winning at the age of fifteen in 2009 and again in 2017. He is the first British diver to have won four Olympic medals, and has also won the inaugural mixed team World title in 2015. Daley started his diving career at the young age of seven and trained at the Plymouth Diving Club.
