John Daniel Hicks is an American sportscaster for NBC Sports since 1992. He graduated from Sabino High School in 1980 and the University of Arizona in 1984.
He began in radio, and became a weekend sports anchor at Tucson's NBC affiliate. In 1989, he joined CNN in Atlanta before moving to NBC Sports in 1992.

He was part of notable NFL Wildcard Saturday and AFC Wildcard matchups. He joined NBC's French Open coverage in 2019. Hicks called NBA and NFL on NBC games and became the top announcer for golf when Dick Enberg left.
