WAEC Releases 2024 WASSCE Results

The results of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination for School Candidates (WASSCE), 2024, have been released by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC). On Monday, August 12, 2024, the candidates were given access to the results.

This was revealed by the examining body in a Monday post on X.

Candidates who sat for the WASSCE for school candidates, 2024 are pleased to inform that the result has officially been released today, Monday, August 12, 2024, stated the message. In 22,229 secondary schools across the country, 1,814,344 applicants took the school exams. 902,328 (49.73 percent) of the 1.8 million pupils are male, and 912,016 (50.27 percent) are female.

30,000 secondary school instructors oversaw the test of the 1.8 million candidates, which consisted of 197 papers covering 76 subjects.

The announcement of the 2024 WASSCE results will increase opportunities for applicants to universities, polytechnics, and education colleges who submitted applications for admission in the 2023–2024 academic year.
