The Piscine Alfred Nakache was built in 1931 and is one of the oldest still in use. The site is named in honor of Alfred Nakache, a Jewish champion swimmer who represented the country in the 1936 and 1948 Olympics, and two prominent Jewish athletes who competed after the Holocaust.
In addition to its 1.8-hectare (7,500-square-foot) swimming pool, the Piscine Alfred Nakache is known for its ornate Art Deco architecture. There is an indoor section and a large outdoor swimming pool, the indoor section is temperature controlled and can be used all year round.
The two parts of the pool are a total of 150 x 50 meters and have a maximum depth of two meters. If you want to swim in the Piscine Alfred Nakache, head to Lamere Ile in Toulouse and expect to pay a small entrance fee.

The Dreamworld Resort in Pakistan has a Fun Lagoon swimming pool that covers 2 acres and is filled with approximately 2 million gallons of local fresh water.
