1. C.C. Patil and Laxman Savadi:
In February of 2012, the Indian Minister for Women and Child Development and the Minister for Cooperation resigned from their positions.

Particularly in her 2008 comment, she believes that gay people can be cured and become heterosexual. She even went out and compared homosexuals to pedophiles.
She disclosed that she was having an affair with a younger man when she resigned. Her mental health issues were brought on by this affair. The male was too young.

A lot of the Republican Party, in my opinion, is pro-gay. They are only opposed to the policy due to the party's strong belief and spirit.
