There are some people who have it all. It certainly applies to all of the people on this list in some way, even though it is debatable given the topic at hand.

There have been a lot of people over time who have cheated death in the strangest ways, whether through hangings, lethal injections, or a nine-man firing squad or by surviving worst pandemics in history.

You can call it fate, luck, or divine intervention. No pranks.

Some of these people have miraculously escaped their own executions.

Despite her injuries, Anne Green came back to life after receiving a Tobacco Smoke Enema.

To summarize, she was found guilty of infanticide in 1650 and given a hanging death sentence after attempting to conceal the fact that the child had died.

The doctors continued to perform every medieval trick, including giving her an enema filled with tobacco smoke, even after she was hanged—quite violently, to add. She fully recovered, God found her innocent, got married, and settled down with her kids. As a memento, she even kept her coffin!

2. Zoleykhah Kadkhoda

found guilty of adultery, Zoleykhah Kadkhoda survived a stoning. On August 11, 1997, 20-year-old Iranian Zoleykhah Kadkhoda was found guilty of adultery and given the death penalty by stoning, which was pretty common in the ultra-conservative country at the time.

She was buried to her waist in the ground, but the angry villagers quickly stopped the stoning.

She was thought to have been brought to death, but she was able to recover from treatment and received amnesty later that same year.

3. Wenseslao Moguel

He escaped death by firing squad after being shot at close range. In 1915, Moguel was sentenced to death by firing squad for his role in the Mexican Revolution.

He was charged without a trial, and he was going to be shot nine times in the head, including one from close range.

Amazingly, he made it out alive, got away, and on Ripley's Believe It or Not, he showed off the troubling scars on his face from the close-range bullet.

4. John Babbacombe Lee

He was a servant in the home of Miss Emma Keyse in England when he was hanged because the trapdoor broke three times. With an axe, Emma was killed in 1884, and her house caught fire.

John was found guilty of the crime and given a hanging sentence. In 1885, as John was about to hang from the gallows, the trap release door failed three times in a row.

This caused a lot of confusion and probably a few thanks from the lucky John. His death sentence was also commuted to life because of this huge error.

A 17-year-old English boy, was hanged in London on November 24, 1740, for raping a woman named Sarah Griffin.

He escaped execution and returned to full health the following day. His body was taken to a surgeon's hall to be dissected for medical training after hanging by the neck for about 20 minutes.

However, the people around him noticed that he was still barely breathing. He got treatment right away and was back to normal the next day. Additionally, the authorities decided to overturn his death sentence, resulting in his lifelong exile.

He survived because they were unable to locate a single vein that could be used to administer the lethal injection.

On September 15, 2009, Romell Broom was scheduled to be executed for the 1984 kidnapping, rape, and murder of 14-year-old Tryna Middleton.

The executioners couldn't find a single vein that wouldn't collapse on impact while they were strapped in.

Broom received a reprieve after more than two hours and at least ten tiny pricks on his arms, and he is still alive and awaiting an appeal.

A police officer was also killed during the robbery, though Joseph denied being involved. In any case, the amazing thing about his execution is that he survived it three times.

The rope snapped the first time, slipped the second time, and his feet hit the ground again the third time! His sentence was reduced to life in prison because it was deemed divine intervention.

9. Willie Francis

He survived his first electric chair execution attempt. This case is rife with racial bias.

In St. Martinville, Louisiana, Willie Francis was charged with the murder of a drugstore owner when he was 16 years old. He received an electric chair death sentence after a fake trial.

During the execution in 1946, witnesses claimed to have heard the teenager yell, Take it off! Get rid of it! I need to breathe! I'm not going to die! and the execution was unsuccessful due to the chair's improper setup.

Willie was executed a year after cheating death, despite his appeal against it.

Her body was suspended for more than 30 minutes after she was hung. But she started making noises as her body was taken away in a coffin, and it turned out that she had somehow survived. After this show, she got a full pardon, and there is even a bar named after her.
