Terrence Jon Francona, also known as Tito, is an American baseball manager. He led the Boston Red Sox to two World Series titles and ended an 86-year championship drought.
Francona managed the Phillies and the Red Sox, winning titles in 2004 and 2007. He then managed Cleveland, leading them to an AL pennant in 2016 and setting records with a 22-game win streak in 2017.
Growing up near Pittsburgh, he started at New Brighton Area High School. He played college baseball at the University of Arizona, winning the 1980 College World Series.
Drafted by the Montreal Expos, he debuted in the majors in 1981, contributing to a playoff win.
