Caterina Fake, an American entrepreneur, co-founded Flickr in 2004 and Hunch in 2007. She chaired Etsy, featured in Time 100, and Silicon Valley recognized her as an angel investor.

She graduated from Choate Rosemary Hall in 1986 and Vassar College in 1991, later learning web design through Vassar's intranet. After jobs in banking and diving, she self-taught Internet skills in San Francisco.

She managed Netscape's forums in 1997, leading to co-founding Ludicorp with Stewart Butterfield in 2002. They started Flickr in 2004, acquired by Yahoo! in 2005. Fake led Yahoo's Tech Dev group, and resigned in 2008.

Previously, she was Salon's art director and co-founded Hunch in 2007, acquired by eBay in 2011. Her project Findery, headquartered in SF, launched in 2012. She joined Creative Commons and Sundance Institute's boards and left Etsy's board in 2014.
