Collin Raye Biography

Collin Raye, also known as Floyd Elliot Wray, is an American country singer. He was in a band called The Wrays from 1983 to 1987 before going solo in 1991 with the album All I Can Be. This album had his first big hit, Love, Me, and it went platinum in the U.S., meaning it sold a million copies.

Collin Raye had more hit songs in the 1990s and into 2000. However, in 2001, his album Can't Back Down didn't do well, and he lost his record deal. He took a break from making albums until 2005 when he released Twenty Years and Change on a smaller label.

Between 1991 and 2007, Collin Raye had 30 singles on the U.S. country charts. He also did well on the Adult Contemporary charts with two songs with Jim Brickman. Four of his songs made it to Number One on the Billboard country charts: Love, Me and In This Life in 1992, My Kind of Girl in 1995, and I Can Still Feel You in 1998.

In his career, he made 11 studio albums, including a Christmas album and lullaby compilation. He also put out a Greatest Hits album, a live record, and a live CD/DVD set.
