Cantin appeared on the show as a main cast member during its first two seasons in 2009-2010 and returned for its sixth season in 2014 before leaving again in 2015 after relocating to California.

She also hosted her own party-planning show called Dina's Party on HGTV in 2011, which was later cancelled after two seasons.

She founded Project Ladybug, a nonprofit organization that supports children and their families who are dealing with cancer by helping them pay for medical expenses and other costs.

Perna later pled guilty to aggravated assault on Dave Cantin.
