Giuseppe "Joe" Buscaino is an American politician and former police officer, born around 1974.
He represented the 15th district on the Los Angeles City Council from 2012 to 2022, serving as President pro tempore of the council from 2020 to 2021.
Buscaino, a member of the Democratic Party, was an early candidate in the 2022 Los Angeles mayoral election and qualified for the ballot after campaigning for nearly a year.
However, he dropped out of the race on May 12, 2022, after polling at only 1% of the vote, and endorsed Rick Caruso.

Throughout his entire life, Buscaino has been a resident of the 15th Council District. He has been actively involved in various community organizations, including the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Harbor Area, where he served on the board of directors.
