Drew Allison Carey is an American comedian, actor, and game show host. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and became famous for his stand-up comedy.

Carey starred in The Drew Carey Show and hosted Whose Line Is It Anyway? on ABC. He also appeared in films, TV series, music videos, and computer game. Carey has hosted The Price Is Right on CBS since October 15, 2007.
Carey enjoys various sports and worked as a photographer at U.S. National Team soccer games. He's a minority owner of the MLS team Seattle Sounders FC, which won the MLS Cup in 2016 and 2019. Carey briefly participated in pro wrestling, entering the 2001 Royal Rumble and being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2011.
His autobiography, Dirty Jokes and Beer: Stories of the Unrefined, shares his early life and TV career.
In high school, Drew played the cornet and trumpet in the marching band at James Ford Rhodes High School, graduating in 1975.
After high school, he attended Kent State University (KSU) and joined the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. He left KSU after three years, having been expelled twice for poor academics.
In 1980, Carey joined the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, serving for six years as a field radio operator in the 25th Marine Regiment in Ohio. In 1983, he briefly moved to Las Vegas, working as a bank teller and waiter at Denny's.

Carey's parents are Lewis and Beulah Carey. He has two siblings Neil (1946–2010) and Roger (born 1952), and grew up in the Old Brooklyn neighbourhood of Cleveland, Ohio.
When Drew was eight years old, his father passed away from a heart attack.
Wife and Relationship
In 2007, Carey proposed to Nicole Jaracz and became a father figure to her son, Connor, from a previous relationship. They didn't get married and cancelled their engagement in 2012.
In January 2018, Carey announced his engagement to Amie Harwick, a sex therapist.
They called off their engagement in November but remained close. Sadly, on February 15, 2020, Harwick was found dead in a Hollywood Hills neighbourhood, and her ex-boyfriend was later arrested on suspicion of her murder.
