Julian Lewis Jones is a Welsh actor. He trained at the Welsh College of Music & Drama. His television appearances have mostly been on British programs like Where the Heart Is and Caerdydd. He played Nelson Mandela's top bodyguard in Clint Eastwood's drama picture Invictus from 2009 in which he also served as a star.
Jones resides in Nantgaredig, and he is an Anglesey native. He is a native Welsh speaker who has appeared on a number of S4C productions, including as the host of the well-liked fishing show Sgota.
He made an appearance as Mr. Roper (the park keeper) in Season 4, Episode 1 of The Tudors in 2010. He also made an appearance as Russian spy Viktor Barenshik in Season 9, Episode 3 of the British TV series Spooks (known in the US as MI-5) in 2010. He played Karl Morris in the Sky One drama-comedy series Stella starting in 2012, and he also made an appearance in a BBC Two drama-comedy episode of Ambassadors in the same year.
