Kelis Rogers is a famous American singer, songwriter, and chef. She went to a music and arts school in New York, where she learned saxophone and joined the Girls Choir of Harlem.

After high school, Kelis worked various jobs and then got a chance to sing backup on a song by a hip-hop group called Gravediggaz. Later, she teamed up with music producers Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo, known as The Neptunes, and signed with Virgin Records in 1998.
