Lunay, whose real name is Jefnier Osorio Moreno, was born on October 4, 2000. He is a Puerto Rican singer and rapper who gained popularity in the Latin and reggaeton scene with hits like A Solas, Luz Apaga, Soltera, and Soltera (Remix). In 2019, he released his debut album, Épico.
In 2017, Lunay started sharing his musical projects on SoundCloud under the name Jefnier. His song Aparentas garnered thousands of plays on the platform, catching the attention of Chris Jeday and Gaby Music, two prominent producers in Puerto Rico. They offered Lunay a record deal, and he changed his stage name to Lunay after signing in May 2018.
The same month, Lunay released Si Te Vas Conmigo, followed by Dejame Saber a month later. In 2018, he collaborated with Lyanno on A Solas and with Amarion on Como La Primera Vez. One of his most successful collaborations was Luz Apaga with Ozuna, Rauw Alejandro, and Lyanno, which garnered millions of views on YouTube. At the end of 2018, the remix of A Solas featuring Anuel AA, Brytiago, and Alex Rose made it to the YouTube Trending page for several days.
In March 2019, Lunay released his hit single Soltera, which gained over five million views on YouTube in just five days. The song was later remixed with Puerto Rican rappers Daddy Yankee and Bad Bunny.
