Jerrell C. Jones, known as J-Kwon, is a rapper famous for his 2004 hit "Tipsy." Expelled at 12 for drug allegations, he faced homelessness, even surviving a jaw injury after winning a rap battle.
J-Kwon gained fame with "Tipsy," reaching Billboard 200's second spot on April 17, 2004, after 14 weeks. It also peaked at two on the Billboard Hot 100 and internationally. He performed "Get XXX'd" for the movie XXX: State of the Union.
He worked on the album "Louisville Slugger" in 2005, collaborated with Andy Milonakis, and released "Boo Boo" in 2008, followed by "Hood Hop 2" and "Hood Hop 2.5." Missing in early 2010, he resurfaced later, releasing his fourth album on March 23, 2010.
