In 2011, he established his own record label, Yours Truly. Phora's debut studio album, titled "Yours Truly Forever," achieved moderate success, reaching the 44th position on the Billboard 200 chart.
Before becoming involved in the music industry, Phora worked as a tattoo artist, which not only provided him with a stable income but also contributed to the financial support of his rap career. In 2011, he experienced a life-threatening incident when someone nearly fatally stabbed him in Anaheim, California, near the Trident Learning Center, now known as Gilbert High School.
