Christopher Alan Young is an American country singer and songwriter. He won Season 4 of the show Nashville Star in 2006. After that, he signed with RCA Records Nashville and released his first album, Christopher Alan Young. It had two successful songs, Drinkin' Me Lonely and You're Gonna Love Me.
On September 1, 2009, his second album, The Man I Want to Be, came out with hits like Voices, Gettin' You Home, and the title track, all reaching number 1.
In 2011, Neon was his third album, which also produced two number-one songs: Tomorrow and You. His 2013 album A.M. had three top 5 hits: Aw Naw, Who I Am with You, and Lonely Eyes.
His fifth album, I'm Comin' Over, was released on November 13, 2015. In 2017, he became a member of the Grand Ole Opry, a significant accomplishment in country music.

Career
Chris Young loved music from a young age. He sang in school and played at local clubs during high school. In 2000, he sang as a mariachi in a show called A Night at the Palladium with his high school's Winter Drumline. They even performed in Ohio that year. In 2003, Young won national awards for his artistry.
While in college, he kept performing, doing over 150 shows each year.
In 2006, Chris Young became the main singer at Cowboys Dance Hall in Arlington, Texas. Encouraged by Park Scott and Keith Swan, he auditioned for Nashville Star in Houston, Texas, and won in 2006. This led to a contract with RCA Records Nashville. Later that year, he released his first song, Drinkin' Me Lonely, which reached 42nd place on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. It was the start of his debut album, produced by Buddy Cannon. The second song from the album, You're Gonna Love Me, reached 48th place.
In 2017, Chris Young released the first song, Losing Sleep, from his sixth album, and it hit the country radio in May 2017. He revealed that the album would also be called Losing Sleep in August 2017. This album reached number one on the Country Airplay chart on February 10, 2018. The second song from the album was Hangin' On.
On August 29, 2017, country legend Vince Gill asked Chris Young to join the Grand Ole Opry, a prestigious group. He officially became a member of Brad Paisley's induction.
In January 2019, Chris Young released the first song, Raised on Country, from his seventh album. The second song, Drowning, came out on September 23, 2019.
