Joshua Aaron Charles is an American actor in movies, TV, and theatre. He's famous for Dan Rydell on Sports Night, Will Gardner on The Good Wife (which got him two Primetime Emmy Award nominations), and his early role as Knox Overstreet in Dead Poets Society.

Joshua started doing comedy at nine and spent summers at Stagedoor Manor Performing Arts Center in New York during his teens. He also went to the Baltimore School for the Arts.

On TV, Charles played sports anchor Dan Rydell in Aaron Sorkin's Emmy Award-winning Sports Night on ABC from 1998 to 2000, which earned him a Screen Actors Guild nomination.

In 2008, he portrayed Jake in HBO's In Treatment. In 2009, he returned to network TV in the CBS drama The Good Wife, leading to Primetime Emmy nominations in 2011 and 2014.
