Elister Larry Wilmore is a multi-talented American comedian, actor, producer, and writer. He is widely recognized for his role as the Senior Black Correspondent on The Daily Show, a position he held from 2006 to 2014.
In addition to this, he also created the popular sitcom, The Bernie Mac Show, which earned critical acclaim and commercial success.
Wilmore has also worked as an executive producer for the ABC television series Black-ish, and as a co-creator, alongside Issa Rae, for the HBO television series Insecure. In 2015 and 2016, he hosted his television show, The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore.
Since May 2017, he has been hosting a podcast called Black on the Air, where he discusses current events and interviews various guests. Currently, Wilmore is the host of his talk show, Wilmore.
