Marlon David Jackson is an American entertainer, singer, and dancer. He's famous for being part of the Jackson 5 and is the sixth child in the Jackson family. Marlon now leads the Study Peace Foundation, working for global peace and unity.
He was born just over a year before his younger brother Michael in 1958. While growing up, Marlon was really close to Michael, who was like a replacement for his twin brother, Brandon, who sadly passed away after birth. Marlon fondly remembers, We were the family's jesters.
In 1964, Marlon and Michael, along with their brothers Tito, Jackie, and Jermaine, formed the Jackson 5. Their mother, Katherine, played the piano and clarinet and sang along with her sons. Their father, Joe, led their rehearsals to keep them focused and out of trouble.
They started by winning singing contests, including ones in New York, which marked the start of their music journey.
