La Toya Jackson is an American singer and TV star. She's the fifth child of the Jackson family and first became famous on their show The Jacksons in the late '70s. Later, she had success as a solo singer in the '80s and '90s, working with different record labels.
Her best-known works are her first album from 1980 and the hit song Heart Don't Lie from 1984. She also made a song called Just Say No for Nancy Reagan's anti-drug campaign.
La Toya is also a two-time best-selling author and appeared in Playboy in 1989 and 1991 to promote her book.
In 1992, she performed in the Moulin Rouge in Paris. However, her music career had a tough time in the '90s due to her controversial marriage, which ended in 1997.
