Rebbie Jackson-Brown, born in 1950, is an American singer and the eldest child in the Jackson family of musicians. She started performing with her siblings in Las Vegas in 1974 and later appeared on the show The Jacksons. Her sister La Toya shares her birthday.
At 34, Jackson released her first album, Centipede, in 1984. It had songs written by Smokey Robinson, Prince, and her younger brother Michael. Michael's song Centipede was her biggest hit. In the late 1980s, she released two more albums: Reaction in 1986 and R U Tuff Enuff in 1988.
After a 7-year break, Jackson returned with a cover of Forever Young for the Free Willy 2: The Adventure Home soundtrack. Three years later, in 1998, she released her last album, Yours Faithfully, with contributions from her kids.
In 2011, Rebbie went on the Pick Up the Phone Tour, dedicated to U.S. teens who faced tough times.
